WTF???? High Cholesterol???

Ok I went to my Dr. for some blood work no biggie, she called me the next day to let me know I have high cholesterol! Very high is 190 mine is 226!! She said to cut down on cheese, fried foods, and stuff like that! WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I don't eat that stuff. I said I work out 5 x per week eat tons of veggies yadda yadda yadda. So its probably my family history, Figures! The only good news was my good cholesterol was also high. I searched a list online to lower my LDL and I was already doing everything on that damn list!! WHAT NOW??

If your LDL is 226 and you are following BFL, its family history! Go on Vytorin (or some other type of statin. Yes, its a medicine but it will most likely save your life in the long run.) Women's cholesterol will only get higher as we get older and as we go through menopause, it gets even higher. Take care of it NOW!

Heart Disease kills more women than Breast Cancer, remember that! You can bring your LDL down by diet somewhat, but really not that much. Red Yeast Rice can help but I dont think you'll get a noticeable drop. Sorry! Just take the medicine and be healthy!

No she didn't. I'm going to fast next time though. Do you know how big of a diffrence fasting can make? I checked out 2 of your blogs and I'm must say I have been enjoying reading it!
    You are doing great girl!

Fasting can drop cholesterol by a bit, however, it most likely wont drop your LDL by that much. The biggest thing thats typically affected is triglycerides. I have seen a depreciable difference but its not common. Let me know.

Thanks about my blog. Feel free to comment anytime. Its just a bunch of nothing really. LOL
